The Mammootty-Hariharan-M.T.V team’s Pazhassi Raja has finally hit the theatres. Being a big budget movie, there were doubts whether the movie would become a commercial success and, whether the producer Gokulam Gopalan would get back his money. Well, I would say that he surely will.

The movie is exciting as well as patriotic with mind blowing performances from all the major stars like Manoj.K.Jayan, Sarath Kumar, Padmapriya and ofcourse Mammootty himself. M.T. Vasudevan Nair has managed to make the movie a delight along with superb stunt scenes and excellent sets.

Best Features Of Pazhassi Raja

• One of the best features of the movie is the tamil actor Sarath Kumar. He was given more importance than Mammootty for all the actions scenes as well as the dialogue scenes. The dubbing done for him was also excellent. I dont think that he has acted a much better film than this even in Tamil.
• Manoj K. Jayan and Padmapriya also managed to show their presence in the movie with their acting as well as action skills.
• This movie is the greatest proof showing why Resul Pookutty was the deserving Oscar winner. His work was incredible throughout the movie.
  
• Hats off to M.T.Vasudevan Nair for bringing a good script to Malayalam after a long while. Haroharan also did a good job and managed to place the songs in the exact position.
  

Failures About The Movie

• There were some scenes in the movie that should have been taken with greater care. Especially the scenes where Mammooty fights with Sarath Kumar and also along with the British. It looked very odd the way Mammootty was hanging on the rope and trying to make a real jump.
• Mammootty has not been introduced in most of the fights scenes in the movie. Though his dialogue delivery as well as acting were brilliant, his action skills in the movie were poor.
• The director failed to bring on continuity for some scenes in the movie.
• Kanika, the heroine of Mammootty was as usual seen only in some scenes throughout the movie.

Overall Rating

This is one of the best movie that has been released this year. IT IS A MUST WATCH MOVIE. Do not miss it.

Kamal Hassan’s latest movie Unnai Pol Oruvan has finally hit the theatres. The movie haa a lot of specialities including Mohanlal in a major role and also Shruti Hassan as the music director. But apart from these, was the movie worth watching?….YES.

The film being, the remake of “A Wednesday”, both Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal had nothing much to do than bring out their natural talent. But, the strong and suspense filled story is the main base of the film.

Apart from the story the movie has managed to bring out a good moral for the people.

Kamalhassan as usual has done an excellent job in the movie. Mohanlal, through does not speak Tamil properly, has managed to bring out a satisfactory performance.

Shruti Hassan, though had nothing much to do has been able to give a wonderful background score.

Overall Rating

So, do not waste more time and hit the theatres as soon as possible.

About The Movie

With much expectations came the Mammootty starrer “Daddy Cool“. After a series of bombs like Pattanathil Bhootham and Parunthu, this movie was supposed to be a stepping stone for Mammootty. Well, is Daddy Cool a good movie? I would say no!! This movie is just an adaptation of all other movies with usual sequences and songs.

The movie starts with Mammootty’s son’s birthday party along with the song “Daddy Cool”. Mammootty is introduced in a very stylish way which all his fans would love. Then it is just a stitching together off many insignificant sequences that takes the movie forward.

As told earlier the movie is a father-son story along with a police story in the background. Mammootty plays the role of Antony Simon, the CI of crime branch with Sai kumar, Vijaya Raghavan, Biju Menon, Babu Raj as his colleagues.The police story continues with Mammootty’s unsuccessful attempt in capturing Bheeb Bhai, played by Ashish Vidyarthi. This causes him to get a suspension. Later, Mammootty gets his job back by helping cricketer Sreekanth who is saved from a few villains.

The movie has Richa Pallod in the lead role of Annie. Her acting as well as dubbing was bad. But Mammootty’s son Dhananjay did a good job.

In the second half a simple twist occours and a climax which is the best part of the movie. Mammootty does not have any major acting in the movie. All he had to do was look glamorous. The direction and script were below average. The cinematography of the movie was good, apart from the action scenes,which has started being a template now.

The worst part of the movie was Mammootty playing cricket and the songs. All the songs were underrated.

Overall Rating

The movie is worth a watch if you have nothing else to do.

The shooting of the movie has reached its final stages and is said to have a genre of action and comedy. The movie is directed by S. P. Rajkumar who has directed movies like Ponmamanam and En Uyir Neethan. Music maestro Illaiyaraja, who has worked with the director earlier will be composing songs for this one as well.

The comedy section will be completely maintained by Vadivelu and has dedicated to work along with the movie for more than 20 days. The other actors in the movie are Napoleon, Lal, Manivannan, Sukanya, Paruthiveeran Saravanan and Sona.
